About Theraplay: Theraplay is structured play therapy for children and their parents designed to help fix these problems. Its goal is to improve attachment, self-esteem, trust in others, and joyful engagement. The sessions are fun, physical, personal, and interactive. Children have been referred for Theraplay for a wide variety of problems including depressed behavior, hyperactivity, aggressive behavior, tantrums, social skills, learning disabilities, and developmental delays. Because of its focus on attachment and relationship building, Theraplay has been used for many years with foster and adoptive families.
