In this training we will explore some of the challenges experienced by children with FASD and the impact this can have on their caregivers. We will also discuss the need for training, advocacy and self-care so that families and children can experience better outcomes. Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders are often invisible, misdiagnosed and misunderstood. Without training and support, foster and adoptive families caring for these children can experience frustration, blame, isolation and compassion fatigue.
