Description
Many (if not most) of those we serve have been impacted by traumatic and abusive family environments. This training equips participants with trauma-informed strategies to support individuals who have experienced family-based trauma, including abuse, neglect, and chronic instability. Through a survivor- centered lens, and delivered by a survivor herself, Kaytee will support attendees in exploring the long-term impacts of growing up in traumatic family environments and learn practical tools to promote healing, understanding, and self-compassion.
Training Objectives:
Identify the long-term emotional and relational impacts of growing up in traumatic or abusive family environments. Apply trauma-informed and survivor-centered strategies to support individuals affected by family-based trauma. Utilize practical tools to promote and support healing, self-compassion, and resilience in survivors of childhood abuse, neglect, and instability.
