Description
This full-day (5.5 hours) training will assist social workers, mental health professionals, and residential/foster care/relative care providers in putting the pieces together more efficiently and effectively to serve the children and families in Alabama.
During the training, we will address the definition, impact, and intervention strategies connected with the three key concepts of Permanency and Loss, Trauma, and Mental Health Treatment, all through a culturally informed lens. Key points of intersection among these three concepts will be identified to help participants understand how their roles are critical to the increased safety, cultural connectedness, and well-being of the children and families we serve.
To engage you, the adult learner, and maximize your transfer of learning, we will utilize interactive small and large-group discussions, short videos, small group exercises, and brief didactic lectures.
