This webinar will shed light on the source of these behaviors, as well as practical play techniques to be used at home to assist children who are exhibiting anger, aggression, defiance, anxiety and depression. These tools will allow children to express emotions in a safe environment while alleviating oppositional behaviors.
Carla Wilson, LGSW, joined the APAC team of Children’s Aid Society in May 2008 as a Family Support Worker for the Northern Region. She now serves as the Regional Coordinator for the Northern Region and is the Camp APAC Coordinator. Carla graduated from the University of Montevallo with a Bachelor’s degree in Social work and from the University of Alabama with a Master’s degree in social work. Carla’s social work experience has been in child welfare, and she has a strong desire to see children achieve permanency. Carla currently provides both pre and post adoption support in the APAC program and has provided extensive workshops for foster and adoptive parents, as well as professionals.
