Description
Our ability to overcome adversity has been at the heart of humanity since the beginning; however, resilience has recently become more commonplace in our vernacular. The term is thrown around in business, healthcare, education, athletics, and now in the context of trauma. Although resilience is a daily phenomenon for all of us, it often goes unseen, misunderstood, or simply underappreciated.
This webinar will shed light on what is going on “behind the scenes” when people recover from trauma and learn to re-discover life in a fresh way that promotes resilience, hope, and well-being. It will review the various effects of trauma on children and adults, discuss mitigating factors thought to influence these effects, and explore the common threads between trauma and resilience. Practical implications for this understanding will also be discussed.
