Description
The nature of grief has been mischaracterized in our society. This has caused grieving people’s grief experiences to be marginalized and often dismissed.
This presentation will dispel societal myths related to grief and offer a construct for understanding grief that more accurately reflects the experience of grieving people.
We will focus on the experiences of children and teenagers in foster care. We will look at how grief manifests in their lives and how to recognize the signs that a child or teenager is grieving.
