Description
Few professionals provide families with a comprehensive, yet understandable explanation of ADHD when their child receives a diagnosis. Most kids diagnosed with ADHD have minimal to no understanding of how their brain works. To complicate matters, most families receive misinformation as soon as their child is diagnosed because most professionals are not familiar with the American Pediatric Association treatment recommendations for ADHD. This presentation will provide families with a concise yet comprehensive understanding of how ADHD presents in kids and provide strategies that families can begin utilizing immediately to help build executive function and social skills as well as cultivate positive behaviors at home.
